The main focus of this blog is Fiber Arts, but on occasion I like to add fun thing that are off topic.
Like the arrival of this beautiful Bi-plane this morning. I heard them fly over. The prop pitch changed, so we knew they were coming in for a landing. Any arrivals on our grass strip bring out all the neighbors. Mike and Jack are the greeting committee today.
Normally we see a single, high wing and tail draggier type plane come in. This bi-plane (two wings, upper and lower) is a ten year old experimental bi-plane. What a beauty she is!
The pre-start and warm up being done the far end of the runway.
And it doesn’t take much room at all and they are off and away.
“Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?”
This is my new favorite quote. I found it on the back of Dove Sugar Free Chocolate wrapper. I do not want to dwell or live in the past, because there is just so much to look forward to in the future. I won’t know if I can fly until I jump off the roof. I like to think that my glass is always half full. On that note I leave you with the quote below:
“Slow Down, take notice, savor the moment”
Our newest Featured Fabric in our latest design, Light Lavender in the Feathers Design. I tend to gravitate to deep bold colors. Much of North America has been battling heat and drought, the Pacific Northwest had been rather gray. I felt like I needed to lighten up a little, Light Lavender just feels fresh and light & airy. And I am completely smitten with the Feathers Design.
A Spooky Tree was created by Darlene McCourt. She used a Fat Quarter of my Hand Marbled Fabric, Fire in the Dragonwing design. And yes, that is the Dancing Tree pattern that I have been selling forever it seams.
